Sachertorte is a chocolate cake. This cake is very popular in the city of Vienna, Austria. Sachertorte is a timeless composition of the most important ingredients and the finest in the kitchen of pastry, with no additives: pure chocolate butter, eggs, sugar, flour and apricot jam. What makes a Sachertorte is the quality of ingredients and how they harmonize perfectly with the other.

The cake consists of two layers of density, chocolate cake not too sweet (traditionally a sponge cake) with a thin layer of apricot jam in the chocolate icing in between and above per night. Traditionally served with unsweetened whipped cream, as most Viennese consider the Sachertorte too "dry" to eat by itself.
